Police investigating reports of man following school children
Police are investigating after reports of a man following two girls. Officers have received reports of two 11-year-old girls in Holbeach being followed by a man, who is described as being bald and in his 50s, in a black Ford. A police spokesman said: “We are investigating this as a report of suspicious activity and will have a presence in the area today.”
A warning message was put out by University Academy Holbeach earlier today warning pupils to be vigilant.
The message sent to parents states: “We have been given the information below (which relates to yesterday) by William Stukeley Primary School and wanted to share this with you so that you can speak to your child about again being vigilant when coming to and from school. If you become aware of any concerns related to this, please report them to the police.
“We have been advised that two pupils walking home after school today were followed for a short while by a man in a black Ford car; the man has been described as bald and around 50 years of age. The man did not speak to the children but made them feel uneasy.
“The incident is being reported to the police.”
