Dramatic moment security guard ‘slaps’ girl on face at Wireless Festival
A shocking video has emerged appearing to show a girl fall to the ground after she was apparently slapped by a security guard at Wireless Festival. The footage, which has been widely shared on social media, has already been viewed more than 175,000 times. In the video, a Wireless security guard, dressed in a yellow high-vis jacket, can be seen grappling with a girl.
The video starts with the security guard dropping to his knee, with the girl grabbing his high-vis jacket and t-shirt from behind. The pair then come face to face, with one of the girl’s hands placed near to the worker’s neck.
A shirtless man then appears, and as he does so the security worker appears to slap the girl round the face. The girl drops to the floor and lays motionless on the ground.
The shirtless man then confronts the security guard and the video ends. The video is captioned: “That SLAP was 10/10 OMG.” A number of people took to Twitter to slam the security guard.
One said: “He ought to be investigated for common assault.” Another said: “State of the comments on here. Never an excuse for a security guard to punch a woman.”
Others defender the security guard’s actions. One said: “I hope this guys job is safe. Clearly defending himself and well within his common law rights.”
A second added: “Well done that man. Hopefully she’s learned a valuable lesson, that actions have consequences. People these days seem to think they can behave how they like.”
It’s unknown what day the incident occurred on.
Wireless Festival is a three-day event taking place at Crystal Palace Park, South London, with artists such as Future, Skepta and Young Thug taking to the stage.
